SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS
The incumbent advises
the AMB, DCM and other sections on protocol matters, communicates with offices
of the President, Prime Minister and other GOM departments on protocol and
Front Office (FO) scheduling issues. The incumbent makes protocol arrangements
and other appointments with GOM officials and with political, business,
cultural and diplomatic community representatives for the Ambassador and DCM,
as well as for other Mission officials and high-level official visitors upon
Front Office request. He/she develops and maintains contacts database;
coordinates contact lists entered by Mission offices; assists in training new
users. The incumbent reports to the DCM and works closely with the Ambassador,
COM OMS, DCM EFM Admin Assistant, and with the Ambassador and DCM's spouses (if

Completion of secondary school required.
work experience: Three (3) to five (5) years prior experience in office
management or related field.
Level IV French and English required, Level III Arabic required.
Knowledge: Incumbent needs good knowledge of Mauritanian elites in government,
business and civil society.
and Abilities: Must have good computer skills, excellent interpersonal skills
and excellent oral communication.
